Opus Bank Expands Pacific Northwest Commercial Banking Team

- Ron Wilkowski Joins as Senior Managing Director, Commercial Banking - Pacific Northwest -

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Opus Bank (“Opus”) (NASDAQ: OPB) announced today that Ron Wilkowski has joined Opus as Senior Managing Director – Commercial Banking for Opus’ Pacific Northwest Region. Mr. Wilkowski, a 29-year banking veteran, is responsible for expanding Opus’ commercial and corporate client base, as well as for leading, managing, and growing Opus’ Commercial Banking division’s impact and presence in the Pacific Northwest region.

Mr. Wilkowski joins Opus most recently from MUFG Union Bank, where he served as Director of Business Development and led its Commercial Banking business development efforts in Washington and Oregon. From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Wilkowski served as Senior Relationship Manager at Key Bank, where he focused on building client relationships with investment banks and private equity groups. From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Wilkowski served as a Senior Relationship Manager at Bank of the West where he focused on developing new client relationships with middle market companies. From 2000 to 2009, Mr. Wilkowski served as Manager and Senior Vice President at Washington Mutual within its Commercial Group where he held a series of leadership roles and was responsible for sales management, credit administration, process improvement, and strategic planning. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wilkowski held business development, underwriting, and auditing roles with Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Corporation, The Sakura Bank Limited, West One Bank, and Security Pacific Bank. Mr. Wilkowski holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Washington and a M.B.A from Seattle University. Mr. Wilkowski serves as a Member of the Boards of the Seattle Theater Group and the Seattle Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
