NATICK, Mass.--()--Aila Technologies today announced the release of their new iPad Pro-based Interactive Kiosk for in-store retail shoppers and an iPod Touch 6-based handheld device for sales associates. These products round out Aila’s suite of retail devices to create the most comprehensive Apple device-based line-up in the industry, further enabling tier one retailers to create exceptional in-store experiences and connect with customers.

The new products will be unveiled at the National Retail Foundation’s Big Show in New York on January 17, 2016 and can be seen in the Direct Source Booth, #2829. Aila’s Interactive Kiosks and Mobile Imagers feature the company’s TrueScan™ technology, which delivers clear, reliable scanning without the bulk of traditional scanners, giving Aila’s products the sleekest form factors on the market. Combining this leading technology with the most advanced iOS devices creates powerful tools for retailers.

With the addition of the iPad Pro and iPod Touch to its lineup, Aila is now the only company to offer retail devices in all of Apple’s iPad and iPod form factors.

  • iPad Pro Interactive Kiosk Aila’s Interactive Kiosk is already in-use or in-test with four of the top 20 US retailers in fitting rooms and on the floor as product information kiosks, next-gen price scanners and customer order stations. The new iPad Pro version, an industry first, offers 78 percent more display area. The kiosk can also be customized to accept payments when configured for payment terminals such as the Verifone e355.
  • iPod Touch 6 Mobile Imager This product boasts a sleeker form factor
supported by new imaging technology. It is the lightest, smallest device on the market for professional grade imaging and employs Aila’s proprietary scanning technology, featuring a high-quality aimer with field illumination, vibration alerts, physical scanning buttons and confirmation beeper.

“By offering devices that power the latest in iOS technology, we’re enabling retailers to harness the market’s premier mobile platform to create truly unique shopping experiences,” said Jason Gulbinas, chief executive officer and co-founder, Aila Technologies. “Aila’s product line allows retailers to transform mobile devices into interactive kiosks, associate handhelds, point-of-sale terminals, and digital advertising portals, thus building the type of immersive, interactive shopping experiences that customers are increasingly demanding.”
