Civic Engagement Solution icitizen Officially Relaunches

Nashville tech company rebrands with version 2.0 release

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--Keep track of trending issues in your community. Connect with your elected officials. Promote meaningful change. These are the imperatives that drive icitizen’s relaunch in creating a central hub for civic life.

The release of version 2.0 delivers a robust system with a new vision: creating an accessible and trustworthy community where people promote the issues they care about by connecting with one another, and ultimately with their representatives, to encourage action.

“Our team believes in our mission to transform the way people communicate on civic issues, connect our communities and promote meaningful change,” said icitizen co-founder and CEO Russell P. Reeder. “Based on the success of our previous version, we have built the next generation solution where people can see what issues are trending and help promote change. It’s not just a new tool, it’s a new way of thinking about how you connect with your community and engage with your elected representatives to inspire meaningful change.”

On icitizen, users can share and weigh in on issues that matter most to them. Their ideas and interests can be up-voted (with “i care” votes) to populate on their elected officials’ pages, where they can keep track of whether or not it is being addressed. They can select and list their interests, as well as follow their elected officials, organizations and schools to customize their news feeds and stay abreast of personalized trending issues, and participate in relevant polls to make their voices count.

The relaunch includes a full rebrand. The new orange color and straightforward design express the bold promise icitizen is making to stimulate civic engagement, not just in the United States, but globally.

“The simple design reflects our mission to be a central place where people feel they are heard and can make a difference,” said icitizen Head of Design John Adams. “Clean lines and our circular logo represent how users can seamlessly connect with their peers and crowdsource support. Orange is also the most engaging and nonpartisan color on the spectrum, which is why we chose it -- to empower users to engage with one another and encourage change.”

icitizen also empowers organizations, elected officials, schools and corporations to strengthen communications and collaboration with their respective communities.

icitizen is now available for download in the Apple App Store.
