Dr. Krakowski is a nationally renowned pediatric dermatology and laser expert with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. As an appointed member of the National Pediatric Acne Guidelines Initiative, he helped produce the first detailed, evidence-based clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric acne. These guidelines were endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and were published in Pediatrics, in May 2013. Dr. Krakowski was recently recognized with the inaugural “Dermatology from the Heart” award for his pioneering scar revision program. He is currently at work on the first textbook dedicated to the pathophysiology, treatment, and mitigation of scars, to be published by Wolters Kluwer, in 2016.
