According to the complaint, the defendants are alleged to have violated certain provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Specifically, the complaint alleges, among other things, that defendants issued statements and/or failed to disclosure that it did not have the financial resources to maintain its high growth and sustain its dividend. SunEdison also announced on that it would be laying off 15% of its workforce on October 5, 2015. SunEdison stock dropped significantly immediately following this announcement.
