SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XCellAirTM, an expert in Wi-Fi Quality of Experience (QoE), today announced that its XCellRANTM solution demonstrated the viability of the CableLabs® Wi-Fi RRM and SON gateway management specification as part of an evaluation to define Wi-Fi radio resource management (RRM) requirements, and SON capabilities for MSOs.
The CableLabs Wi-Fi RRM and SON work addresses the growing technical issues resulting from ever-greater network densification. This includes combatting poor Wi-Fi network performance and service quality in congested areas, and high levels of interference in close AP proximity environments. CableLabs’ effort combines education, vendor engagement and validation on behalf of the cable industry as well as technical specification definition.
