Tenet and WellStar Reach Definitive Agreement for Sale of Tenet’s Atlanta-area Hospitals and Related Operations

DALLAS--()--Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC) and WellStar Health System have entered into a definitive agreement for the sale and management of Tenet’s five Atlanta-area hospitals. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions and is expected to be completed as early as the first quarter of 2016.

The hospitals included in the sale are Atlanta Medical Center and its South Campus, North Fulton Hospital, Spalding Regional Hospital and Sylvan Grove Hospital, as well as 26 physician clinics.
