ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New TecHomeX research shows homebuyers are aware of, and strongly interested in, acquiring a wide variety of connected home technologies and applications. Buyers prefer professional installation and look to security, AV and builder companies to provide the systems.
The survey was fielded this summer to a panel of consumers maintained by new home digital marketing entity, BDX in collaboration with the owners of TecHomeX, AE Ventures.
It collected nearly 300 responses from consumers considering the purchase of a newly constructed or existing home within the next two years.
“The study confirms we are entering a ‘golden era’ for the connected home,” said AE Ventures president, John Galante.
“There’s broad consumer awareness and interest in all kinds of feature sets and most consumers wisely recognize professional installation, monitoring and maintenance of systems is the best way to fully realize the benefits of a connected home. We look forward to sharing this information and helping integrators, contractors and builders go to market and answer the surging demand.”
