Ari brings more than fifteen years of global ecommerce, technology and intellectual property experience to HDS, both on the business and legal sides. Prior to joining HDS, Ari served as General Manager of the China and Ireland branches of Borderfree, a technology and e-commerce company. Ari also served as Borderfree’s General Counsel, guiding it through its financing rounds, IPO, activities as a publicly traded company on NASDAQ and acquisition by Pitney Bowes.
Previously, Ari was President of Sega Amusement Works and also spent seven years at Sega Corporation in Tokyo, where he served as General Counsel for all Sega group companies worldwide. Prior to joining Sega, Ari was with the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie in their Tokyo office.
“Ari’s deep background in both traditional commerce and global e-commerce, along with his great mix of business and legal experience, made him the clear choice for this position,” said Louis H. Borders, founder and CEO of HDS. “He will be a valuable asset in the launch and roll out of our e-commerce service that will enable consumers to shop for groceries and general merchandise from the world’s leading retailers, as well as our complementary B2B RoboFS service that will sell robotic fulfillment platforms to major distributors and manufacturers, such as Toyota.”
HDS (Home Delivery Service) will offer consumers a one-stop online mall with competitive prices, unlimited selection, superior one-cart convenience, free delivery and one-hour express service on groceries and general merchandise from the world’s leading retailers.
