LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Society6 and Uber, leading innovators in the on-demand economy, are teaming up this Saturday to bring a mobile pop-up art gallery to Angelinos across the city. A 40’ long cargo container that’s been transformed into a highly polished rolling gallery will display large format paintings from eight different Los Angeles-area Uber driver-partners and Society6 artists.
In true on-demand style, L.A. residents can use their Uber app to request info on nearby stops for the mobile gallery, tour it, and visit Society6 to purchase goods customized with art work from the featured artists, all of whom are supported in their pursuit of creative and professional freedom by Society6 or Uber.
Visitors and riders will be treated to refreshments and free gear, such as totes and phone cases that Society6 has customized with the featured artists’ works. Los Angeles artist Cam Floyd will ride with the gallery and create art on-the-go, and world-renown photographer and Uber driver-partner Nitin Vadukul will capture the day’s events on camera.
