New Jersey Leaders Welcome Lime Energy to the City of Newark

NEWARK, N.J.--()--Lime Energy (NASDAQ: LIME) President and CEO Adam Procell, local dignitaries, and company employees celebrated the company’s move to Newark, NJ with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 8, 2015. The new corporate headquarters, located in Four Gateway Center, Newark, NJ, will provide the fast-growing Lime Energy with a state-of-the-art office space for its senior management team and a central location for many corporate functions. The Newark location was selected because it is consistent with company’s mission of nurturing the sustainability of local communities and necessary urban enterprise zone development.

At the ceremony, Mr. Procell spoke about Lime Energy’s history and future in Newark. “Lime is very excited to build out our business in New Jersey. This is our home and where we started this business. The company has delivered energy efficiency solutions to over 2,000 small to mid-sized New Jersey businesses and municipalities in the last five years, and we feel we can help 15,000 more of our neighbors lower the cost of doing business.”

Esteemed guests from the City of Newark and State of New Jersey were in attendance to welcome Lime Energy to the new location. Scott A. Blow, EVP and Chief Business Development Officer of the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation spoke followed by Newark Central Ward Councilwoman Gayle Chaneyfield Jenkins. A letter from Senator Cory Booker (D) was read by staff member Zach McCue and Mr. Blow read a letter from Governor Chris Christie.

In his message, Governor Chris Christie wrote “Lime Energy’s expertise in energy efficiency and dedication to promoting pro-business clean energy solutions in our communities makes them a welcome addition to the Garden State.” He continued to say, “We join with business leaders across the State in congratulating Lime Energy on their success and welcoming their headquarters to Newark.” Senator Cory Booker (D) also sent a welcoming statement in which he said “Lime Energy has been instrumental in bringing renewable energy and energy efficiency to small businesses across the country” He added, “As a former Mayor of Newark, I am proud to have you as a part of the community in New Jersey’s largest city.”

Following the ribbon cutting, the guests moved to a cocktail reception at the Prudential Center. There, they were given a sneak preview of Lime Energy’s new corporate branding as well as new products and services. Lime Energy expects its new, technology-driven products will transform the energy services industry and enable the provision of clean energy solutions to the mass-market.
