ICR Introduces the Director XChange

NEW YORK--()--ICR, a leading strategic communications and advisory firm, today announced that it has partnered with NYSE Governance Services to host the first-ever ICR Director XChange on October 14, 2015 from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt New York. Held in conjunction with the NYSE Governance Services’ Annual Boardroom Summit & Peer Exchange, this in-depth forum will provide an opportunity for board members to hear directly from the largest institutional investors regarding their biggest concerns and areas of focus.

“As shareholder activism and engagement have risen to the top of boardroom agendas, it has become increasingly critical for directors to gain a better understanding of shareholders' views,” said Tom Ryan, CEO, ICR. “This new event will provide a valuable platform for directors to gain the insight they need to effectively engage with key investors and limit the potential for activist involvement.”

Sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Georgeson and Latham & Watkins, the ICR Director XChange will kick-off with a networking lunch from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., followed by three engaging panel discussions. The event will close with an informative fireside chat featuring David Benoit, activism reporter with The Wall Street Journal, in conversation with Peter Feld, Managing Member, Portfolio Manager and Head of Research, Starboard Value.

Panels featuring both influential speakers from some of the largest institutional investors as well as capital markets experts will address:

  • Shareholder activism: The Rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Shareholder engagement: How are institutional investors interacting with directors?
  • What directors need to know about the largest passive institutional investors and their policies.

The ICR Director XChange will conclude the 12th Annual Boardroom Summit & Peer Exchange, the NYSE Governance Services’ three-day flagship event assembling 400+ board members, C-level officers, and general counsel from public companies across the nation, held October 12-14. Those interested in attending the Director XChange only on October 14 can register for the half-day event here.
