SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Teledyne RD Instruments, a global leader in acoustic Doppler current profiling and navigation innovations, has announced the launch of the new upgrade for the widely popular Rio Grande 1200 kHz acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP). Called “RioPro,” the upgrade offers current Rio Grande 1200 kHz owners an upgrade path to incorporate enhancements recently introduced in the RiverPro ADCP.
“Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the Rio Grande customer base to take advantage of the technology advances featured in the new RiverPro ADCP,” said Jim Rogers, director of the water resources product line at Teledyne RDI. “Our new RioPro upgrade is an innovative step in achieving this objective, while maintaining the high standards and familiarity of the product our customers know and trust.”
Along with the standard features of the Rio Grande 1200 kHz ADCP, the RioPro upgrade offers users the benefit of auto-adaptive sampling, wireless Bluetooth communications, embedded GPS for geo-referencing, and manual modes.
