Scality Names Josh Berezin New Vice President of Sales, Increases Workforce Nationwide

Berezin Leads New Push to Super-Charge Scality’s Sales and Support Teams Across the Country

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Scality, the leader in software-based storage for the information age, today announced the hire of Josh Berezin to the executive management team. As vice president, Berezin will oversee the Americas sales team for the company, with a focus on significant hiring, and enhance the new and existing customer base of large enterprises and service providers in the United States and across the Americas. He joins a team of strong sales leaders in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Japan; Emilio Roman, David Harvey and Ebi Hiromasa respectively.

Berezin brings more than 15 years of sales leadership experience, including management and executive roles at CommVault, NetApp and Trace3. Berezin received his bachelor’s degree from American University, and J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law. As part of his first initiative, Berezin will hire sales representatives in Seattle, Dallas, New York, Boston, and Washington, DC, and lead hiring efforts within markets including the Fortune 500 enterprise, the government, telecommunications and web & cloud service providers, as well as media and entertainment.

“Today, organizations are demanding reliable, high-performance, scalable storage solutions for their massive data workloads, without a high price tag,” said Erwan Menard, President and COO of Scality. “As a result, we’ve seen immense growth in the Americas over the past year and a half. Josh Berezin has joined our management team to expand on that growth by applying his unique industry experience to support our sales strategy.”

Scality’s growth is underscored by a recent $45 million round of funding, global resale agreements with Dell and HP, a new Boston Research and Development Center – the company’s first on the East Coast, and recognition from IDC as a leader in object-based storage*. As a result of these milestones, Scality has expanded from 78 to 165 employees over the past year, more than doubling its workforce.

“It’s an exciting time to come on board with Scality, where our technology is shaping the future of storage within the enterprise, government, service providers, and media, to name a few industries,” said Berezin. “By delivering a highly-scalable software-based solution that makes sense in this age of exponential data growth, Scality is changing the way that companies are storing information.”

To meet rising demand for scalable storage solutions, Scality is actively recruiting for sales positions nationwide. Interested candidates can visit www.scality.com/careers for more information on a specific position, as well as to discover additional employment opportunities available at Scality.
