Teleperformance receives full certification in all five areas of the Verego SRS

PARIS--()--Regulatory News:

Teleperformance (Paris:RCF), the worldwide leader in outsourced multichannel customer experience management, today announced that 17 of its operations worldwide have received full certification in all five areas of the Verego Social Responsibility Standard (SRS). The Teleperformance sites awarded with the certifications, include Athens, Greece; Boca Raton Florida, Edinburg Texas and Sandy, Utah USA; Bogota, Colombia; Gurgaon, Jaipur and Indore, India; Istanbul, Turkey; Lisbon, Portugal; Ljusdal, Sweden; Maastricht, Netherlands; Neubrandenburg, Germany; San Jose, Costa Rica; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Temara, Morocco; and Volgograd, Russia.

Created in 2010, the Verego SRS rating systems establish a set of core social responsibility requirements for organizations to adopt as a framework for establishing and managing their own social responsibility goals and programs.

Teleperformance has received full certification in all five areas of the Verego SRS: leadership, ethics, people, community and environment. Each of the certifications measures a unique set of requirements. The leadership certification recognizes commitment to social responsibility with its focus on customers and the organization’s ability to communicate commitment to key stakeholders; ethics focuses on the organization’s conduct and the processes it uses to procure goods and services; people illustrates protection of human rights and how the company handles critical employment; community measures the organization’s engagement and investment in the local districts in which it operates; and environment focuses on the organization’s ability to effectively improve their impact on the world.

During the course of the Verego SRS assessment, Teleperformance expanded supplier requirements to ensure fair wages for employees within the supply chain and published the supplier policy online* for full transparency. A supplier qualification questionnaire was also developed to help improve scoring and tracking of suppliers’ social responsibility performance. The human rights requirements were broadened to ensure the right to collective bargaining, the elimination of forced and child labor, and fair wages for employees, and the human rights statement was published online to allow full transparency to all stakeholders.

“Throughout our collaboration with Teleperformance, its corporate responsibility team has continually gone above and beyond our expectations, bringing about positive change within its organization,” said Justin D’Atri, Executive director of corporate responsibility services at Verego. “For a global company to be flexible enough to align and communicate corporate policies and programs across its global footprint in less than six months, is truly remarkable – and a clear indication that Teleperformance has the leadership commitment and change management capabilities to be recognized as a true industry leader in corporate responsibility.”
