ARC Recognized Among Top 40 Healthiest Employers of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area

Washington Business Journal Honors Company’s Commitment to Employee Well-Being

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--The Washington Business Journal has recognized Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) as one of the 2015 Greater Washington Healthiest Employers. The journal ranked ARC as 22 out of the participating companies with a regional office in the greater Washington, D.C. area.

Kaitlyn Bolan, senior industry events manager at ARC and marathon walker, is one of ARC’s wellness success stories. “When I started at ARC, I began recording my steps to take advantage of the company’s insurance incentive program,” commented Bolan. “Three years later I’m averaging 60 miles per week, I’ve lost weight and maintained it, I have lowered my blood pressure, and I am determined and stronger. Recently, I hit the number of steps I completed in all of 2014 and I have four months left of this year!”

Helena Light Hadley, vice president and chief human resources officer commented, “ARC’s wellness program has been an evolution—we didn’t start out where we are today. When employees and leadership talk about what should be added or refined within the program, we not only look at the current culture but also the culture we strive to achieve in one, three and five years. We want more success stories like Kaitlyn’s. We want to help employees jump-start the road to a healthy lifestyle and maintain it because they feel good.”

Award applicants completed an in-depth application and were evaluated across six categories: leadership commitment, communication and markets, foundational components, programming and interventions, strategic planning, and reporting and analysis by Indiana-based Healthiest Employers LLC.
