Speakeasy Assembles Advisory Panel of Sales Leaders to Explore Future of Mobile Conferencing Across the Enterprise

Leading Sales and SaaS Experts Collaborate on Integration of Voice Communication To Enhance Sales Outcomes and Deepen Customer Relationships

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Speakeasy, provider of mobile conference call software, today announced that it has assembled an expert panel of senior enterprise sales and SaaS thought leaders for the purpose of extracting key insights into the future of mobile conferencing technology, communication and software. The assembled group possesses more than 10 decades of combined sales leadership experience. The findings and guidance of this unique panel of experts will play a large role in the continued leadership of Speakeasy in advancing conference calling into the era of mobile business collaboration.

The Speakeasy panel is made up of Executives from unicorn companies Box, Cloudera, and MongoDB including: Lesley Young of Box, Lars Nilsson of Cloudera, Meagen Eisenberg of MongoDB, along with Social Selling expert Jill Rowley and Hiten Shah of Crazy Egg and KISSMetrics. The panel will release findings as they become available.

"I'm interested in creating better relationships with my customers. While nothing can replace the personality in face-to-face meetings the current pace of enterprise sales dictates that I conduct much of my business from my mobile phone,” said Lesley Young, SVP Commercial Sales & Sales Operations at Box. “Anything that gives my customers a better experience and helps my team build closer relationships is a no-brainer and something I want to personally influence the direction of.”

The panel will help define the vision of customer communication and bring collaboration to voice calling to provide a richer picture of customer relationships as well as surface new insights previously hidden from the conversation. For example, a recent survey of more than 200 sales executives conducted by Speakeasy found that a mere 27 percent report complete satisfaction with current conferencing solutions. Speakeasy will engage the newly formed panel to enhance and foster natural communication before, during and after calls. Another goal of the panel is to define protocols for extending visibility of calls and meeting summaries across the entire enterprise.

"Our entire company and product focus is based on putting the customer first,” said Meagen Eisenberg, Chief Marketing Officer at MongoDB. “Speakeasy has the right view -- a delightful shared expertise, drive to enhance and share data in the CRM and really wants to do something different."

The Speakeasy Conference Calling App is currently available for free in the Apple Store. Future releases will build on the Speakeasy vision to make virtual conference calls more productive than in-person meetings by extracting contextual insights from calls and business relationships allowing people to connect, communicate and collaborate naturally to boost productivity and positive business outcomes.

The Speakeasy executive team, which includes several former Salesforce.com executives, recognized an opportunity to improve the customer experience in the $7 billion conference call market (according to Wainhouse Research) that has languished despite the widespread smartphone adoption and revolutions in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems as well as social software.
