Cross Country Healthcare to Participate in American Heart Association’s 2015 Heart Walk

BOCA RATON, Fla.--()--Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. has announced that it will participate in the 2015 Heart Walk, the American Heart Association’s annual fundraising event. The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest, largest voluntary organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular diseases and stroke. During last year’s event, Cross Country Healthcare employees raised almost $50,000 and the company was named both 2014 Palm Beach County Heart Walk Top Fundraising Company and Top New Fundraising Company.

In a statement thanking Cross Country Healthcare employees for their efforts in raising such a significant amount of money during the 2014 Health Walk, Beth Mourelatos, Executive Director of the American Heart Association in Palm Beach County, said, “I don’t think you understand how significant that is for what we’re trying to accomplish as an organization in spreading awareness about the need for a healthy lifestyle and healthy living within Palm Beach County.”

Ms. Mourelatos also praised Cross Country Healthcare’s efforts to offer employees a wellness focused work environment. The company has been recognized as an American Heart Association Fit Friendly Organization for the past three years.

The Palm Beach County Heart Walk is scheduled to take place at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Meyer Amphitheatre in downtown West Palm Beach.
