DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/bngnhm/1q15_global_dsl) has announced the addition of the "1Q15 Global DSL Market Share" report to their offering.
DSL port shipments declined by 8 percent quarter-over-quarter to reach 13.7 million. The decline was felt in all regions except CALA.
Huawei recaptured the rolling 4-quarter market leadership with 34.7 percent share, followed by Alcatel-Lucent with 32 percent. They are followed by ADTRAN, ZTE and ZyXEL. Rolling 4-quarter market share is shown in Figure 1.
VDSL port shipments continue to represent the larger portion of DSL ports and will likely remain this way going forward. VDSL represented 66 percent of shipments versus 33 percent for ADSL. SHDSL shipments were 1 percent.
VDSL shipments increased by 4 percent from 4Q14, and 16 percent from the same period in 2014.
During 1Q15, the Asia Pacific region was the only region where ADSL ports remain the dominant DSL technology.
Alcatel-Lucent held the market share lead for VDSL shipments for rolling 4-quarter with 36 percent market share and current quarter at 38 percent.
