The Lenovo YOGA and Lenovo PHAB series to feature Dolby Atmos sound

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) today announced their collaboration with Lenovo (HKSE:992) to launch five new mobile devices enabled with Dolby Atmos® sound: the Lenovo® YOGA Tab 3 Pro, Lenovo® YOGA Tab 3 8, Lenovo® YOGA Tab 3 10 and Lenovo® PHAB Plus. The new Lenovo® Tab 2 A10-30 will also feature Dolby Atmos sound.

Dolby Atmos transforms the mobile entertainment experience over headphones and built-in speakers with moving audio that flows above and around the user. The Lenovo YOGA Tab 3 devices are the world’s first tablets with a virtualized Dolby Atmos experience over built-in speakers, creating richness and depth for a superior speaker experience.

“We are proud to be bringing the revolutionary cinema sound of Dolby Atmos to our YOGA and PHAB series of tablets. Delivering our users the latest in powerful, immersive audio is critical to our goal of redefining what it means to enjoy video and multimedia entertainment through tablets, and it underlines the importance of our continuing collaboration with Dolby,” said Jeff Meredith, Vice President and General Manager, Tablets, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo.

For the first time with Lenovo YOGA Tab 3 Pro, the world’s first tablet offering a powerful projector and a four-speaker soundbar powered by Dolby Atmos, you can now share this innovative cinematic experience on your tablet with others wherever you go. The Lenovo PHAB devices provide immersive, moving audio over headphones for the best multimedia experience on the go.

“With Dolby Atmos you feel like you’re inside the action as sound comes alive all around you with incredible depth and realism,” said John Couling, Senior Vice President, E-Media Business Group, Dolby. “We’ve teamed up with Lenovo to deliver amazing sound to transform the mobile entertainment experience wherever you are.”

The Lenovo YOGA Tab 3 8 and Lenovo PHAB Plus are expected to be available in September 2015. The Lenovo YOGA Tab 3 Pro and the Lenovo YOGA Tab 3 10 will also be available from November 2015. Please visit www.lenovo.com for more information about these devices.
