SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--()--Redwood Empire Food Bank of Santa Rosa, Calif., has received a $5,000 Partners in Giving donation from Nationwide® Private Client in honor of North Bay Insurance Brokers of Sonoma, as well as a matching gift of $5,000 from North Bay Insurance Brokers, totaling $10,000. The money will help fund hunger-relief programs to ensure a healthy community.

Private Client, previously branded as Crestbrook, is Nationwide's personal lines carrier focused on the affluent market. Its appointed independent agents are offered an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others with charitable donations in their local communities through the Partners in Giving program.

"People care deeply about organizations with a social mission, and are more likely to support businesses that share their commitment to making a difference," says Molly Rondeau, distribution, sales and marketing executive. "Partners in Giving enables Private Client agents to direct donations to one or more of the three charity organizations we support, with an emphasis on strengthening our communities and improving people’s lives."

"We chose to direct this donation to Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) because of the work they do in Sonoma Valley. REFB provides food for those in need while stocking the food shelves at community organizations such as Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma Valley, Sonoma Teen Services, local schools, Vintage House, La Luz, Sonoma Valley Grange and many more," said Tony Schmoll, partner, North Bay Insurance Brokers.

"We are honored to have been chosen by North Bay Insurance Brokers and Nationwide for their charitable donation. This generous support will fund vital hunger-relief programs and ensure a strong safety net and healthy community," says Christy Gentry, communications coordinator, Redwood Empire Food Bank.

To date, $20,000 has been donated to four organizations in California, Georgia, Illinois and Washington through the Private Client Partners in Giving program. Nationwide has committed an additional $105,000 in Partners in Giving charitable donations for distribution throughout 2015 and 2016.
