TAMPA, Fla.--()--Laser Spine Institute, the leader in minimally invasive spine surgery, is proud to welcome orthopedic spine surgeons Drs. Troy Caron, Raj Kakarlapudi and Jeff Martin to the organization. The addition of the three new surgeons marks a total of six to have joined the organization and its seven nationwide ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) within the last year.

“We’re thrilled to have Dr. Caron, Dr. Kakarlapudi and Dr. Martin come on board with the rest of the team at Laser Spine Institute,” said David Pillsbury, President, Laser Spine Institute. “Although each of these surgeons have a different and unique experience to bring to the table, they all have one important quality in common: a true passion for a patient-first approach, a quality Laser Spine Institute desires for all of its practicing surgeons.”

Through data compiled by a third-party provider, Laser Spine Institute currently has a 97 percent enterprise patient satisfaction rate, with 98 percent of patients saying they would refer a friend or family member for surgery.

Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Caron will care for patients in Laser Spine Institute’s seven facilities. Throughout his career in spine care, Dr. Caron has always put his patients first, continuously looking for the best ways to treat patients. He received the first place AOSpine fellow award and is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, American Osteopathic Association and AO North America Spine.

Dr. Kakarlapudi will serve patients in Laser Spine Institute’s Cincinnati location. With his caring disposition and desire to build understanding relationships with patients, Dr. Kakarlapudi is looking forward to combining his passion for patient care with minimally invasive spine surgery at Laser Spine Institute. He is a member of the American Medical Association and was named a “Top Doctor” by Cincinnati magazine in January 2015.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Martin will care for patients at each of Laser Spine Institute’s seven facilities. Dr. Martin has held a lifelong passion for volunteering and helping others, and looks forward to working in a patient-first culture at Laser Spine Institute. He received a fellowship with the Surgical Specialty Hospital of Arizona and is a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

All new surgeons are required to complete an internal fellowship program prior to performing surgery at Laser Spine Institute. As part of that process, each of these surgeons have trained with others at Laser Spine Institute’s Tampa facility, including time spent under Michael C. Weiss, D.O., FAOAO, Chairman, Department of Surgery, Orthopedic Spine Surgeon.
