SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Classmates®, the online social network devoted to bringing high school classes together, today announced the release of CelebHigh, a mobile trivia app for people who want to test their celebrity smarts. The app, which is Classmates’ first foray into the mobile game space, challenges players to identify famous celebrities based on their high school yearbook photo.
“As the largest online library of digitized yearbooks, we wanted to do something fun to showcase some of the famous people found in our collection,” said Abi Heller, CEO of Classmates. “CelebHigh realizes those efforts, bringing both entertainment and exclusive celebrity photos to a much broader audience.”
Classmates currently has more than 300,000 yearbooks in its collection containing thousands of celebrity photos, with more books being added every day.
How to Play
CelebHigh’s crisp design and mobile functionality make it easy for players to sign up via Facebook and start playing.
Users can choose to play with either TV or Movie celebrities, and can select a pure photo-matching game, or Hollywood trivia game accompanied by celebrity yearbook photos. Winners receive points and trophies based on how many celebrities they identify, how many trivia questions they answer correctly and how quickly they answer. Players can share their trophies on social media as well.
“CelebHigh has a little something for everyone,” said Abi Heller. “Whether you’re a Hollywood insider or trivia aficionado, there’s no doubt you’ll discover something new and surprising whenever you play.”
