Securematics Launches E-Rate Advantage Program

New Program Gives IT Solution Providers an Edge with K-12 Business Opportunities

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Today specialty distributor Securematics, Inc. announced its E-Rate Advantage Program, which is designed to help channel and vendor partners better compete for IT projects in K-12 schools.

The E-Rate program, described by the FCC as the nation’s largest supporting education technology, recently lifted its stagnant $2.4 billion spending cap to $3.9 billion — an increase of nearly 63 percent. With discounts ranging from 20 to 90 percent, E-Rate funding helps qualifying schools and libraries obtain up-to-date technology, future-proof their networks and more effectively prepare their students for 21st century learning.

“The availability of more funding is good news for schools and the students they serve, as well as the IT channel,” says Christopher Lee, senior director of business development at Securematics. “E-Rate’s been in play for nearly two decades, and our research shows that many channel partners still don’t take advantage of the program. That’s a huge miss that we’re working to fix.”

The new Securematics E-Rate Advantage Program addresses the pain points associated with the government program head on, making it easier and more cost-effective for channel and vendor partners to compete for this business. “One of the biggest reasons channel partners miss out on E-Rate opportunities is that they were simply not aware of them, or by the time they become aware, it’s too late in the sales cycle to compete,” says Lee. “Through our vendor relationships and market expertise, we’re able to identify E-Rate opportunities early on and work side-by-side with our channel partners to identify the right solution, secure competitive pricing and assist with the overall RFP to speed response times. Removing hurdles from our partners is a huge value-add.”

As a specialty distributor who works with leading edge secure networking vendors, including Dell, Juniper Networks, and Pulse Secure, Securematics’ technical and market expertise runs deep. “We have the knowledge to do a lot of the legwork for our channel and vendor partners — especially when it comes to getting ahead of RFPs for E-Rate,” concludes Lee. “We are hyper-focused on ensuring our vendors and channel partners have the insight, training, technology and support needed to meet customers’ needs and grow the business more profitably.”
