SHI’s First Half Revenue Jumps as Legacy and Emerging Partner Performance Fuels Sales

ORLANDO, Fla.--()--SHI International Corp., one of North America’s top 20 largest IT solutions providers, recorded $3 billion in revenue in the first half of 2015, a record first half performance for SHI, and a 15 percent increase year over year. SHI President and CEO Thai Lee announced the company’s Q2 performance, as well as an aerial view of the entire IT solutions space, this morning at SHI’s Global Sales Conference.

“Technology remains the greatest enabler for building sustainable, long-term growth and opportunity,” Lee said. “The breadth of both traditional and emerging technology offerings available through our diverse partner network allows us innovative ways to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Businesses large and small, as well as the public sector, are making large investments in new IT solutions, and we expect a consistent and steady flow of investment in hardware, software, and cloud solutions throughout the remainder of 2015, and beyond.”

SHI’s revenue totaled $1.7 billion in Q2, representing 12 percent year-over-year growth. Each of SHI’s domestic sales divisions -- enterprise/commercial, public sector, and corporate -- posted more than double-digit revenue growth. SHI saw significant growth outside of the United States, most notably in Canada, the United Kingdom and France.

During her Keynote Address delivered at SHI’s Global Sales Conference in Orlando this morning, Lee compared SHI’s projected numbers for 2015 against those from 2009, when SHI began its third decade in business and launched a rapid expansion program aimed at growing SHI to a $10 billion business by 2019. After nearly tripling both headcount and overall revenue in the last five years, Lee showed that SHI has more than tripled its business in data center software and quadrupled overall hardware revenue.

“SHI saw steady growth from our top five partners, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Symantec, and VMware, and Cisco further solidified itself as a top-10 SHI partner with its quarter after quarter performance,” Lee said. “Our cloud partners are experiencing robust growth in cloud buying and adoption. In 2015, we expect cloud sales to surpass $1 billion, a clear sign of the evolving IT market and SHI’s ability to meet new customer needs. Our security partners are seeing a renewed focus on the protection and integrity of networks and servers. Further, SHI’s data center partners are seeing new server demands, all of which is causing revenues to climb.”
