ARLINGTON, Va.--()--The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today announced that the TIA Board of Directors has approved eight companies as new members, including the addition of AT&T and Comcast.

The approval of these new members follows the appointment of Scott Belcher as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) late last year, along with the addition of a new CTO, Senior VP of Government Affairs, and Senior VP and Counsel. Since taking over the organization, Belcher has been actively advancing TIA’s presence, including through acquiring on new members, to have a stronger, more effective impact on policy and industry debates. His focus has been to better align the organization with the public policy, technology, business and standards needs of the rapidly shifting information and communications technology industry.
