Over the past few years, state-sponsored attacks have received a lot of attention and the discussion has shifted from cyber “crimes” to cyber “warfare”. Nation-state hacking operations are frequently well-funded, difficult to attribute, and rarely prosecuted. While efforts have been made to counter this problem, proof is hard to find and even more difficult to correctly interpret. Both speaking sessions will go over the idiosyncrasies of nation-state malware research, discuss the difficulty of attribution and supply analysts with a tool to emphasize or deny vendor statements.

Cyphort’s Advanced Threat Defense Platform not only detects advanced threats but also empowers organizations to evaluate its impact on their business for a targeted response. In April, Cyphort announced version 3.3 which includes malware lateral movement detection, the ability to combine advanced targeted attacks and Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) detection. This provides customers with a complete picture of the attack as it happens and potential spread within an organization in real time.
