BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, PBS announced the full lineup and airdates for the fifth annual PBS ARTS FALL FESTIVAL, new episodes from PBS KIDS hit, SUPER WHY! and an all-new movie, CURIOUS GEORGE 3: BACK TO THE JUNGLE. PBS President Paula Kerger announced today the full lineup and airdates of PBS’ annual arts programming showcase. The 2015 PBS Arts Fall Festival returns October 9, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. ET, celebrating its fifth season, with eight new weekly programs. The Festival will launch with the inventive, high-energy UNITY– THE LATIN TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON, hosted by the legendary and world-renowned percussionist Sheila E. and featuring Michael Jackson’s greatest hits interpreted by award-winning Latin artists.
Beginning August 17, PBS KIDS will premiere new episodes of the Emmy-nominated preschool series SUPER WHY! Developed for children ages 3-6, SUPER WHY! helps kids explore reading and the alphabet, word families, spelling, comprehension and vocabulary as they follow their favorite Storybrook Village characters on interactive adventures.
On August 17, Curious George is back to his inquisitive ways with the television premiere of PBS KIDS’ CURIOUS GEORGE 3: BACK TO THE JUNGLE. In this adventure-filled feature-length movie, Curious George takes a trip to space but crash-lands in the jungles of Africa, leading to an unforgettable journey with new animal friends. Featuring the voice talents of Angela Bassett and John Goodman, with music by the Plain White T’s, BACK TO THE JUNGLE is a fun-filled journey that the whole family will enjoy.
