Nestled among the Rocky Mountains, the original cabin was rebuilt from the ground up and redesigned to make the most of the spectacular views. In its ninth year, popular DIY Network stars, including crashers Chris Lambton, Matt Muenster, Josh Temple and Alison Victoria, once again work with fans to design and transform a property to give away. This year’s 1970s lake cabin was renovated into a spacious mountain escape, with all features and designs chosen by the DIY Network consumers.

“For the first time ever, Blog Cabin headed west to find the perfect setting for the home,” said Chris Grundy, tool expert, do-it-yourselfer and host of Blog Cabin 2015, “This year’s winner will live on eight acres surrounded by mountain beauty, with an amazing view of the lake. I’m envious, as they’ll have the opportunity to enjoy all kinds of activities – from jet skis to snowmobiles – in every season right from their home.”

From the grand central staircase and two-story wall of windows to one-of-a-kind pieces displayed throughout the home, this mountain retreat is destined to quickly become the most popular Blog Cabin yet. The home features a long, single-sloped roof line, exposed laminate beams and concrete walls. Fire elements give the home charm during the winter and a large balcony with sliding doors opens the home to the beautiful northwest summer – Blog Cabin 2015 is the perfect sanctuary 365 days a year. #blogcabin
