Smarsh First-Half Sales up 45 Percent Year-over-Year

New product development, global expansion, large enterprise wins and outstanding customer service propel the company to its next level of growth

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Smarsh®, the leading provider of hosted archiving solutions for compliance and e-discovery, today announced its 2015 first-half sales grew 45 percent over the same time period a year ago.

Smarsh represents a diverse roster of clients in industries including financial services, lending, insurance, public sector, energy, healthcare and manufacturing. Organizations are turning to Smarsh to help them meet complex regulatory and legal requirements related to the retention, supervision, and discovery of electronic communications such as email, social media, instant messaging, mobile messaging, video and web content.

Executive, Vertical and International Expansion

To support demand and serve customers’ needs even better, Smarsh recently moved into a new, state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon, nearly doubling its previous office space, and expanded its New York City office. Smarsh grew its international office in London, adding staff to support global growth and the increasing demand for archiving and compliance technology in Europe. The company also named Allen Muhich as chief financial officer, a proven technology executive who will manage global finance and accounting operations for the rapidly expanding business.

The Archiving Platform Sets the Standard

Continued enhancements to The Archiving Platform are among the key drivers of rapid customer adoption. In addition to new functionality for e-discovery workflows, a new user interface, and a streamlined, time-saving message review process, Smarsh added support for new content types and a developer program that provides API access to partners who are looking to build on top of the power of the Archiving Platform.

Smarsh added enhanced archiving support for Microsoft Office 365, LinkedIn, Vimeo, and Cisco Jabber Instant Messaging. The company also focused on enhanced support for public and enterprise instant messaging, and acquired Presensoft, a pioneer in cloud-based enterprise messaging compliance solutions. Integration of Presensoft services enabled Smarsh to extend archiving support for new communications channels including QQ International, and more.

Smarsh also began offering its new Personal Archive, an add-on module to The Archiving Platform that gives end users fast and easy self-service access to their own archived electronic communications and files from their desktops, laptops, or mobile devices.
