NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--()--San Francisco CyberKnife, a joint venture between Alliance Oncology, Dignity Health Bay Area hospitals, and independent San Francisco-based physicians, announced today that Alexander B. Geng, M.D., has joined its staff and will be offering radiation oncology services to patients throughout San Francisco and the surrounding communities.

“We are pleased to have Dr. Geng join the medical staff of San Francisco CyberKnife,” said Kaily Yarmolovich, MHA, Site Administrator for San Francisco CyberKnife. “He is a valuable addition to our cancer care treatment team, and we are fortunate to have him care for our patients.”

Alexander B. Geng, M.D., is a radiation oncologist. He received his medical doctorate from University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine in La Jolla, Calif. He completed his internship in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, Calif., and his radiation oncology residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, Calif., where he served as chief resident.

Dr. Geng became a radiation oncologist because of the amalgamation of the healing art of medicine and the cutting edge technology in medical science.

“I am a specialist in delivering radiosurgery, stereotactic ablative radiotherapy, and stereotactic body radiotherapy,” said Alexander B. Geng, M.D. “These technologies have transformed the landscape in cancer care significantly for the better. These treatments are more effective in eradicating cancer, easier to tolerate for patients, and have already contributed to curing a number of different cancers and turning other types of cancers into chronic diseases.”

Dr. Geng is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Brachytherapy Society, American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Radiosurgery Society, and the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society.
