Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART) will honor Patrick Doyle, President and CEO, Domino’s Pizza, with Commitment to People Award at 90th Hospitality Training Conference

NEW ORLEANS--()--The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART) (www.chart.org) is proud to announce that Patrick Doyle, President and CEO, Domino’s Pizza, is the recipient of their 2015 Commitment to People Award. Doyle will be honored at the Commitment to People Awards Gala on Monday evening, July 20, 2015, during CHART’s 90th semi-annual Hospitality Training Conference to be held at The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans, LA.

Created in 1993, this prestigious award is given annually to a CHART member’s CEO/president in the hospitality industry who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the development of his or her associates,” explained Patrick Yearout, Director of Recruiting and Training at Ivar's Restaurants and CHART president. Yearout added, “The nomination form for Patrick Doyle was filled with testimonials from employees who commended his strong leadership skills and the emphasis he places on people development.”

CHART’s Selection Committee reviews and ranks the Commitment to People nominees in four categories:

  • Effective communication of the organization’s culture
  • Programs that demonstrate a commitment to people
  • Efforts to be involved in the development of people
  • Ability to break down barriers to create opportunities

Adam Huddleston, Domino’s Director of Training, and the CHART member who nominated Patrick Doyle for this distinctive award, commented, “Patrick not only sets and communicates a clear vision for the organization’s culture, but actively works to inspire a commitment to it. As busy as he is, he’s still one of us, willing to spend the time talking about and representing who we are in his daily actions.”

Team members from all different areas of the company contributed to the nomination.

Doyle’s appointment to lead Domino’s in March 2010 came after nearly 13 years with the company. In September 2007, he was named president of Domino’s USA, heading up all domestic retail operations, franchise and corporate-owned stores, and marketing within the U.S. Doyle had also been executive vice president of Team USA – and executive vice president of Domino’s Pizza International for six years, where he was responsible for increasing the company’s global presence by almost 1,000 stores.
