Portfolio Manager Fran Tuite Featured in Investment Book

CHICAGO--()--RMB Capital (“RMB”), an independent financial services firm with more than $4.3 billion in assets under management (AUM), announced that Frances “Fran” Tuite, CFA, CPA, portfolio manager, has been featured in a new nationally published book about female money managers, “Women of the Street: Why Female Money Managers Generate Higher Returns (And How You Can Too).”

The book, written by recognized alternative investments expert Meredith Jones and published by Palgrave Macmillan, profiles several prominent female money managers in various asset classes and explores their career paths and investing characteristics. Tuite is profiled in a chapter on public equity investing, “Getting Extra from Ordinary: Investing Long and Short in Micro- and Small-Caps.”

Jones and several money managers featured in the book, including Tuite, will speak on a panel at the CFA Society Chicago luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Central time on Tues., June 23 at The Standard Club, 320 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago. The panel will delve further into issues raised by the book, as well as discuss strategies for women to achieve fulfillment and success in their financial careers. More information about the event can be found at the CFA Society Chicago website.

Tuite has been managing the same long/short equity strategy since 2000. When she joined RMB in 2006, it became the first alternative investment strategy managed at RMB and led to the formation of the firm’s alternative investment unit, Iron Road Capital Partners, which now includes a range of complementary strategies.

Tuite holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Chicago.
