EPL, Inc. Renews Relationship with Credit Union Leader and Former Customer, NAECU

North Alabama Educators Credit Union Returns to EPL for Core Software and Technology Solutions After Five-Year Separation

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--EPL, Inc. (EPL), an established core software and technology solutions firm serving credit unions nationwide, is pleased to announce the return of a long-time customer, North Alabama Educators Credit Union (NAECU), a leading provider of financial services to the educational communities of greater Huntsville and Athens, Ala., following a five-year separation. EPL previously provided NAECU’s core software solutions from 1992-2010.

“NAECU is returning to EPL simply because bigger is not always better when it comes to software solutions,” said Greg Olmsted, CEO of NAECU. “Our credit union missed the personal service of EPL. We missed the awareness of what our industry is all about. We missed the EPL team that was committed to us, not just as a customer, but as an industry partner.”

This announcement follows a significant equity investment from Dedagroup NA earlier this year. Dedagroup made the investment to build upon EPL’s value proposition as a quality provider. This investment in EPL has strengthened its resources and allowed the company to revitalize integral systems while simultaneously raising the bar for software and technology solutions firms across the country.

“Our team is thrilled to rejoin NAECU’s efforts to provide better service to its growing member base,” said Wayne Benson, president and CEO of EPL. “During our nearly two-decade long relationship, EPL was able to zero-in on NAECU’s unique software and technology needs while consistently delivering first-rate, personalized service. Our recent capital investment from Dedagroup NA positions us to offer the resources of a much larger firm while still maintaining the level of customer service our clients have come to expect.”

EPL’s rekindled relationship with NAECU represents a dramatic step forward for EPL as it continues to expand its i-POWER® suite into a world-class, market-driven solution for credit unions of all sizes. With a focus on constant innovation now backed by substantial resources and strong personalized customer services, EPL anticipates the second half of the fiscal year to be exciting as it continues to grow as a premier provider in financial services industry.
