2015 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting to Focus on Powering Up the Next Generation

Annual conference draws more than 3,000 practicing power engineers and academics to Denver, Colorado, 26-30 July 2015

PISCATAWAY, N.J.--()--The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) today announced its annual General Meeting is being held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, Denver, Colo., 26-30 July 2015.

The 2015 IEEE PES General Meeting will bring together practicing power engineers and academics who will present and discuss the key challenges and opportunities in the electric power industry. More than 3,000 professionals from around the world will participate in the conference and attend diverse super sessions and plenary presentations.

 

WHAT:

IEEE PES at its 2015 General Meeting will provide a forum for experts to share information and best practices related to transactive energy, battery storage, microgrids, big data and smart grid projects underway around the world.

 
The theme of the meeting is “Powering Up the Next Generation.” The IEEE PES General Meeting will feature insightful super sessions, plenary presentations, technical programs, tutorials, standards development activities, technical tours and student programs.
