SAN FRANCISCO--()--The third annual SquashDrive Slam fundraiser, which benefits local children involved in the SquashDrive athletic and academic program, raised a record $100,000 during this year’s campaign. This total is more than four times the amount raised last year and will allow the organization to expand its impact to more kids in the San Francisco community during the 2015 school year and beyond.

The SquashDrive Slam kicked-off on Monday when two squash players broke the world record for the longest squash match ever played—thirty-six hours and eleven minutes—and continued on Thursday with a pro exhibition and reception at the University Club Squash Courts. The fundraiser ended on Saturday with a SquashDrive Slam team tournament involving head-to-head competition between SquashDrive kids and local participants.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the positive response to this year’s SquashDrive Slam,” said SquashDrive Board Chair Stephen Seelbach. “This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the SquashDrive program and the hard work of our kids, who year after year continue to bring new energy and purpose to our mission,” said SquashDrive Executive Director Lauren Patrizio.

More information about the SquashDrive Slam can be found on its fundraising website and on the SquashDrive home page.
