Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Offers Meditation 2.0 in Los Angeles, May 8 and 9

The World Renowned Peace Leader, Humanitarian, and Spiritual Guide Brings Three Sessions of Inner Peace to the Newly Renovated Art of Living Center Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES--()--International peace leader and spiritual teacher Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will bring his timely message of inner peace, empowerment, and human values to Los Angeles, May 8 and 9, in three events called “Meditation 2.0.”

Last week, he addressed the European Parliament in Brussels; UNESCO in Paris; the Embassy of India in Washington, D.C.; and, on April 30, he met with members of the United States Congress, speaking and leading them in meditation.

“Clearly, the meditation was the very best part,” said Illinois representative Jan Schakowsky. “I feel so good right now after 20 minutes of meditation. I think it’s a really beautiful and self-empowering experience, and I’m so excited about the impact that it can have on veterans and school students.” Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan commented on the effectiveness of Sri Sri’s techniques and his commitment to social causes. “Sri Sri has an approach that can solve a lot of problems,” he said. “He is very much an inspiration.”

With worldwide participation in meditation and yoga at record levels, the extensive research on Sri Sri’s breathing meditation, Sudarshan Kriya (SKY Meditation), stands out. Independent studies in peer-reviewed journals document a decrease in stress indicators, improved brain function, increased immunity, relief from all severities of depression, reduced impulsivity in teenagers, relief from PTSD in veterans, and more.

Sri Sri (pronounced Shree Shree) was named one of the five most powerful people in India by Forbes magazine, and the worldwide trauma and disaster relief and other initiatives carried out by his nonprofit foundations is extensive (including recent efforts in Nepal and Iraq).

His upcoming events will take place at the newly renovated Art of Living Center Los Angeles, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. At press time, two of the events were already sold out.
