Endangered Species Chocolate Calls for Nonprofits to Apply for 10% GiveBack Partnership

INDIANAPOLIS--()--Endangered Species Chocolate (ESC) is seeking applications for their 2016-2018 10% GiveBack partners. Applications will be received through July 31, 2015. Partners will be announced in October. Applicants must be designated tax exempt under the IRS code 501(c)(3).

The mission-minded chocolate company has a rigorous process in which 10% GiveBack partners are selected based on their aggressive and clear mission to support species and habitat preservation. Since 2005, ESC’s 10% GiveBack donations have provided wildlife organizations a much-welcomed monetary boost, enabling the expansion of effective species preservation programs worldwide.

“Our 10% GiveBack program is the heart of who we are as a company – and is a stewardship and philanthropic program I am extremely proud of,” says Curt Vander Meer, CEO, Endangered Species Chocolate. “We look forward to supporting the conservation goals of our new partners.”

ESC uses premium, fair trade chocolate as a medium to spread environmental awareness and help support the growing number of species disappearing from the planet. Additionally, the valiant work of each 10% GiveBack Partner is highlighted inside ESC’s chocolate bar wrappers and promoted via the company’s social media channels, e-newsletters, and website.

The company’s current 2013-2015 10% GiveBack partners are African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and The Xerces Society.

“Endangered Species Chocolate continues to amaze year after year, which has everything to do with the quality of the product and the people,” says Kurt Redenbo, Director of Foundation & Corporate Relations for AWF. “We are honored to have this generous support for our ongoing efforts to protect wildlife throughout Africa.”

The 10% GiveBack application is available at www.chocolatebar.com. To honor the company’s core value of conservation, applications and supplemental materials should be submitted electronically using the email address on the application. To apply or for more information visit www.chocolatebar.com.
