What Do You Know About H2O?

New Jersey American Water Promotes Drinking Water Week

VOORHEES, N.J.--()--New Jersey American Water, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the water community kicked off Drinking Water Week (May 3 – 9) across North America today by asking the question “What do you know about H2O, New Jersey?”

Throughout the week, the company, AWWA, and water community partners will celebrate the value of water by encouraging consumers to appreciate the role it plays in our daily lives and in the quality of life we enjoy because of it. With current trends in population, economic growth, energy, and climate change affecting water usage and the critical infrastructure, water systems need to function properly now more than ever.

“In the past three years, we’ve invested about $775 million dollars in our water infrastructure. It is a constant effort, and we want our consumers to be aware of how they use and access water in order to better understand its value," said Steve Schmitt, vice president of operations at New Jersey American Water. "So, as we observe Drinking Water Week, we are encouraging individuals to get to ‘know their H2O,’ and help preserve our most precious resource for future generations."

Getting to ‘know your H2O’ is easy. Here are just a couple of ways:
