PASS Business Analytics Conference 2015 Kicks off in Santa Clara

Featuring 50+ sessions by leading data and BA/BI experts and keynotes by Carlo Ratti and Mico Yuk

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--The 3rd annual PASS Business Analytics Conference is underway, beginning with a full day of pre-conference sessions on Monday and launching into regular sessions and hands-on labs over Tuesday and Wednesday. Aside from the keynotes, demos, labs and presentations, this gathering of business and data analytics professionals features plenty of opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing.

More than 600 professionals – including data and business analysts and scientists, BA and BI practitioners and IT pros – are spending the week learning how to utilize today’s wealth of data to improve their companies, careers and communities. The conference features more than 50 sessions on topics ranging from PowerBI and Excel to reporting and data visualization, as well as hosted breakfasts by Microsoft and Hortonworks, speaker meet-and-greets and exhibits.

“The human element is so important in data analysis and BA and BI,” said PASS Vice President of Marketing Denise McInerney. “We’re excited to have tracks that dive into the technical aspects of the field alongside sessions that really delve into the human element – visualization, communication and leadership.”

Tuesday’s keynote speaker, noted architect and “data-driven” designer Carlo Ratti, will discuss this true vitality of data – not just in today’s business, but in modern society. Wednesday’s keynote speaker is data-visualization star Mico Yuk, founder of BI Brainz and author of Data Visualization for Dummies.
