CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Second City Works, the B2B arm of the famed improv comedy theater The Second City, has joined forces with SAVO, the market leader in sales enablement, to deliver short, funny, social video content, designed to reinforce the skills most critical to winning deals. The library of video content will be available as part of RealBiz Shorts, a cloud-based video subscription solution offering global access to innovative, engaging video content on compliance, sales effectiveness, and leadership development topics.
On April 21 in Chicago, and April 23 in Toronto, a community of sales, marketing and learning leaders from the F500 will join The Second City and SAVO for an interactive improv session on the stages of The Second City. These leaders will co-create new RealBiz Shorts video content which sellers can use on-demand and in context when facing those inevitable roadblocks to a deal.
Second City’s collaborative process gathers insights from the audience, taking real-world sales scenarios and stories onto the stage, followed by a real-time discussion to determine which improv skills drive seller performance. This process highlights working with function-specific user communities to identify and target important and timely topics in sales effectiveness – including prospecting through qualification, pipeline management and negotiating and closing.
More than 450 global companies – including Google, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Adidas, Royal Bank of Canada, and Dow Chemical Company – are members of the RealBiz Shorts community, contributing to learning content that engages employees, improves internal communications and lifts training ROI.
“Sales fundamentally is an act of improv. We’ve helped thousands of organizations hone the skills of an improviser, making them more engaging and effective communicators in critical moments when working through the buyer’s decision-making process,” said Steve Johnston, president of Second City Works. “With improv in the mix, delivered digitally and with humor, sellers build the agility and resiliency needed to navigate a customer-empowered world and make their numbers.”
“As the pioneer in sales enablement, we’ve helped hundreds of organizations increase sales productivity using prescriptive software to become more efficient, effective and engaging with customers,” said Kurt Andersen, CMO of SAVO. “Through our content co-creation process with Second City Works, we’re zeroing in on the various selling challenges experienced by reps every day to help them overcome obstacles via improvisation and build confidence in any selling environment.”
The results of the sessions will be featured in the upcoming June release of the new RealBiz Shorts for Sales content library via an always-on, streaming platform.
