The course will cover topics such as system configuration, user management, database security, network security, data validation, logging, error handling, defensive programming, secure data storage, and code reviews.

“The importance of secure coding cannot be overstated,” said Michael Taylor, Applications & Product Development Lead, Rook Security. “By combining the development principles of iOS, Android, and web platforms with proven security principles, we’re hoping to encourage software developers to place the security of the end-users and the overall organization at the forefront of their design process.”

The program is designed for security engineers, security consultants, network administrators, information assurance managers, early career security professionals, and software developers interested in expanding their knowledge of information security.
