MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ESS Technology, Inc. today announced that 17 year analog chip industry veteran Dan Christman has joined the company as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Reporting to Robert Blair, ESS's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Christman will play a key role in shaping ESS's technology and product strategy as the company embarks on its diversification phase utilizing its industry leading proprietary analog technology.

Mr. Christman has 17 years of analog industry leadership experience. During his time at Maxim Integrated, headquartered in San Jose, Mr. Christman held many executive level positions leading successful businesses in the multimedia, wireless and display industries. Most recently, he served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Human Interface Business Unit, which focuses on optical, environmental and biometric sensors, as well as touch screen and gesture interfaces. Dan is credited with several internal Maxim turnarounds, as well as starting multiple new successful business lines.
Mr. Christman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
