Demandware Powers Cross-Border Commerce for Marc O’Polo

Demandware’s cloud platform enables European premium modern casual lifestyle brand to deliver highly branded experiences across channels, devices and geographies

(NYSE: DWRE) the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, announced that Marc O’Polo, the European premium modern casual lifestyle brand, has moved its digital commerce operations to the Demandware Commerce Cloud. The company leveraged the Demandware platform to launch seven local language e-commerce sites across Europe within an eight month period, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland. The sites were built using the responsive web design functionality within the Demandware platform and provide a consistent, cross-channel shopping experience across any device.

Founded in Sweden in 1967, Marc O’Polo has grown to achieve total sales in excess of around €450 million per year and its collections are now available in more than 30 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Germany, Marc O’Polo seeks to become the leading modern, casual clothing brand in the premium sector.

The new Marc O’Polo sites launched on Demandware include several new features that help drive growth. One such feature is the ability to browse specific looks that are based on product bundles and which can be purchased as an outfit.
