Jack Welch Management Institute Introduces Elite ‘Experts of Practice’ Program

C-suite network to share top business practices with MBA students

HERNDON, Va.--()--The Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University is excited to announce the launch of its new “Experts of Practice” program, which connects executive MBA students with working CEOs and executives at today’s top global companies. The Jack Welch Management Institute is led by world-renowned business leader and best-selling author Jack Welch.

‘Experts’ offer video keynotes, guest lectures and other exclusive content highlighting their personal leadership journeys with anecdotes from the frontlines of business. Their real-world insights support JWMI’s curriculum focus on leadership, people management, strategic operations, business communications, marketing, strategy, and other core MBA courses.

“We are honored to have these experts share advice and leadership lessons that will help develop the next generation of the world’s top business leaders,” said Andrea Backman, Ph.D., dean of the Jack Welch Management Institute. “The insights that all of our Experts of Practice share on topics such as leadership, marketing strategy and management not only enrich the learning and growth of the executives in our MBA program as they look ahead in their careers, but they also inspire our students to put leadership principles into action immediately and realize tremendous results where they currently are. Our goal with the release of this program is to be the top source for students to learn from expert CEOs so graduates will be prepared with the tools they need to excel in their chosen industries.”

With close to two dozen contributors and 300 stories, JWMI Experts of Practice include: Carlos Brito, CEO of Anheuser-Busch In-Bev; Rosalind Brewer, CEO of Sam’s Club; Jon Steinberg, CEO of Daily Mail, North America; Lorenzo Simonelli, president and CEO of GE Oil & Gas; and Richard Postle, former president of Wendy's USA and major franchise holder of Panera, among many others. The Institute will continue growing its list of experts throughout 2015.

The Jack Welch Management Institute offers a high-impact online executive MBA program, as well as a selection of intensive Executive Certificate programs. JWMI also recently partnered with Skillsoft for exclusive, global distribution of its Welch Way leadership development courses. Based on the singular business insights of celebrated leader Jack Welch, the Institute’s offerings are designed to transform the way organizations everywhere develop their managers.
