Hunter Advises on Denver Hotel Sales

Denver’s hot growth market and outlook attracts investors

ATLANTA--()--Hunter Hotel Advisors announced today that they represented both national and local investment groups in the sale of two Denver hotels. “The strength of the Denver market is phenomenal, and its continued projected growth is key to both of these transactions,” said Danny Givertz, senior vice president of Hunter’s L.A. office. “The market continues to outperform in Denver despite new supply.”

The 118-room Hampton Inn & Suites Denver/Highlands Ranch sold to Oliver Companies for $16.2 million. The group primarily makes investments in the lodging sector, and this is the Minnesota-based firm’s first investment in a Colorado property. The four-year-old, six-story hotel is located in an affluent Denver suburb in historic Littleton, CO, and attracts both leisure and business travelers.

“Highlands Ranch is a strong emerging market that made this young hotel an attractive investment,” said Brian Embree, vice president of Hunter’s L.A. office who managed the transaction.

Hunter also recently closed on a $9 million hotel in the heart of the Denver airport district. The Hunter Los Angeles office has closed on over 15 assets since the end of last year including assets in California, Texas, and Colorado valued at over $150 million.

With a vast client list, Hunter Hotel Advisor’s national brokerage offices currently represent full and select service hotels including portfolios and individual assets for clients ranging from REITs and investment banks to regional hotel owners.
