Catalina Appoints Chief Data Officer, Dak Liyanearachchi

Industry Veteran to Apply Data Strategy to Drive Increased Lift and Loyalty for CPG Retailers & Brands

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--()--Catalina, the personalized digital media company, today announced the appointment of Dak Liyanearachchi to chief data officer of the global business. In this role, Liyanearachchi will oversee Catalina’s insights and analytics group, leveraging the world’s largest database of shopper purchase history to provide unique insight into consumer behavior. Using Catalina’s data and insights, Liyanearachchi and his team will execute high-ROI omnichannel campaigns for retail and brand customers globally.

Prior to his role as chief data officer, Liyanearachchi served as senior vice president of global data and analytics for Catalina. In the five years since joining the company, Dak has been responsible for developing Catalina’s U.K. business through data innovation.
