CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In Florida, BidClerk data shows an increase in total project values and a 14.4% decrease in total projects year over year.
For Florida’s major metro regions, BidClerk data shows more than 5,200 new construction projects valued at $16 billion were released for bid in 2014, compared to $14 billion in 2013.
Nationally, BidClerk reported on 162,000 commercial construction projects valued at $455 billion in 2014. BidClerk saw an increase in the total contract values of more than $175 billion compared to 2013. These figures include both public and private work and represent the aggregate value of actively bidding commercial construction contract opportunities available in BidClerk's database.
One project of note is Tampa’s $445 million Crescent Westshore Apartments. The project is being led by Summit Contractors Group and was designed by Dwell Design Studio.
In Miami, BidClerk data showed more than 1,900 new construction projects were released for bid in 2014 with contract values of $4.9 billion.
For Orlando, BidClerk data showed over 1,300 new construction projects were released for bid in 2014 with contract values of $2.5 billion.
In Tampa, BidClerk data showed over 1,500 new construction projects were released for bid in 2014 with contract values of $4.1 billion.
