Southwestern U.S. Major Metro Regions See More Than 2,400 New Construction Projects Released for Bid in 2014, BidClerk Data Shows

Southwestern U.S. Regions Total Contract Value is More Than $6 Billion

CHICAGO--()--According to BidClerk data, the Southwestern U.S. recorded consistent decreases in private and public sector numbers in 2014 with the most significant declines in Arizona.

Major metro regions in the Southwestern U.S. saw more than 2,400 new construction projects put out for bid in 2014, with a total contract value of more than $6 billion, compared to $5 billion 2013.

Nationally, BidClerk reported on 162,000 commercial construction projects valued at $455 billion in 2014. BidClerk saw an increase in the total contract values of more than $175 billion compared to 2013. These figures include both public and private work and represent the aggregate value of actively bidding commercial construction contract opportunities available in BidClerk's database.

For the Phoenix MSA region, BidClerk data shows there were more than 1,000 new construction projects released for bid, with a combined contract value of $1.8 billion.

For the Las Vegas MSA region, BidClerk data shows there were more than 550 new construction projects released for bid, with a combined value of over $1.7 billion.

For the Albuquerque MSA region, BidClerk data shows there were more than 350 new construction projects released for bid, with a combined contract value of $750 million.
