As producers of the Foundation’s major fundraiser for the second consecutive year, LatinPointe has been instrumental in rebranding the event through a comprehensive approach with a distinct gala name and logo, enhanced show graphics and honoree video packages.
A new contemporary awards trophy of the iconic civil rights leader, designed by renowned master sculptor Ignacio Gomez, will be unveiled at the 2015 gala. LatinPointe Brands has also been instrumental in leveraging its talent relationships to boost participation of celebrities on the red carpet as hosts, presenters, and honorees. Special musical performances, including an all-star finale jam session, will be among the noticeable changes at this year’s highly anticipated event.
The Cesar Chavez Legacy Awards will be held on Thursday, March 26 from 7-9 p.m. at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites Los Angeles. Honorees will include the quintessential East L.A. band Los Lobos, Grammy Award-winning singer and acclaimed actor Kris Kristofferson, two-time Super Bowl champion, Oakland Raiders Quarterback Jim Plunkett, California Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson, The Walt Disney Studios for the movie McFarland, USA, and the President and Co-founder of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas, Milly Treviño-Sauceda. The Awards will bring together more than 500 guests, including national and local community leaders, dignitaries, celebrities, corporate, labor and business executives.
